Charli Kinkade: 30’s, attractive, Ex-Professional wrestler, current Marilyn Monroe impersonator & Balloon Animal Artist, Charli’s been pursuing an acting career since she was a toddler. Charli grew up with an extremely kooky, Yugoslavian mother, who continually wore a Babushka & loved to talk about how wonderful ‘The old Country” was. Her father was a blue collar guy from Missouri, mainly interested in sitting by the ”crik” playing his harmonica. Her mother & father’s marriage quickly dissolved in divorce when Charli was three, leaving her mother to work full time as a night nurse. As a result, Charli ended up as a “Latch key kid” learning to be independent & taking care of herself. Being the only child, she entertained herself by looking in the mirror of her bedroom, pretending she was different characters in a variety of movies. Charli switched at 18 from being a ballet dancer to a wrestler because she figured Barishnikov wouldn’t want to lift a 5 foot 8 140 pound woman during “Swan Lake.” She also wanted her acting career to take off & she thought the wrestling would enhance that, instead she was cast in films as Prison Guards & Lesbians. Charli was a blatant square peg in a very large, round, ordinary hole in life, & found that the entertainment industry didn’t know what to do with her half of the time. Filled with sadness, yet not allowing herself to get completely discouraged, she decided to look inside herself for answers, Charli became “Spiritual,” Taking yoga, meditation, & working with Flower Essences. Part of Charli was almost willing to give up the Entertainment Industry if she could find herself a nice lawyer, or businessman to settle down with, but the other part of her wanted the mental stimulation & creative rewards of working doing what she really felt drawn to do. She decided that she deserved both, a man & a creative career & she would be open to both. When she came to the phone room, she needed to make some extra money to pay her bills & still go on acting auditions when she wasn’t dressed like a Fairy Princess or Marilyn Monroe. She met Alan in the early 90’s. He was a comedy club manager & Charli was a stand up comedienne. They lost touch & then saw each other again after all those years in the Phone Room.
