RAINBOW

Rainbow, 40’s. Eccentric ex- rocker from the 70’s, who jokes around with other callers; plays the air guitar to remind himself and others in the phone room of days gone by…

He grew up with parents in Ohio that were Rock n’ Roll musicians. They weren’t extremely successful, but they made enough money touring the Orient to talk about it. Rainbow hoped to make a success of himself as a musician that his parents couldn’t, but alas, he ended up a tortured artist himself. He started off with a pretty decent Rock band in the late 70’s, ending up traveling and actually getting some low end deals, but when the band broke up because of artistic differences, Ralph, aka Rainbow hit a depression. 

Rainbow also likes sports football, basketball, Arm Wrestling. He and Alan really get along.

He got evicted from his apartment, ended up sleeping on a musician friends dirty couch & strummed his guitar for extra bucks on the streets of Venice Boardwalk & Santa Monica. At a later point, he managed to shack up with a couple of different women who found his shaggy long haired sleepy look a turn on & paid his way for a while. After that quit working, he got into some harder cheap, street drugs for several years & eventually found himself in an Narcotics Anonymous meeting. From there he decided to clean up his act & find a “real job” and went for an interview at the Phone room.
