SYNOPSIS A sitcom about daily life in a phone solicitation Boiler Room and the people they call. The fun begins with escapades that occur in the lives of the Telemarketers/Fundraisers & how the environment and personal lives of the phone room lends to comical situations along with scenes from the very people they call. It gives audiences a personal and comical view at what makes telemarketer's tick . The comedy style and pace is comparable to the 70's sitcom "Taxi" with a sprinkle of "Seinfeld" and the feel of a reality show when they make their sales calls. The characters come from different walks of life all converging in a phone room with witty banter as they work at the same job, with humorous excerpts of the customers they call. The Tele-play is written in sitcom form. Many years of in depth research was spent studying the telemarketing field and the people who work in this environment. Some of the jokes were also derived from one of the creators/actors in the show, Charli Haynes' stand up comedy nightclub act. The series depicts the funny situations that occur in a phone room; with interaction between main characters, an actress, Charli 30's who works as an Entertainer at kid’s parties making balloon animals while she is on the phone. Archie 60's a whacked out war veteran. Betty an opinionated semi-retired woman in her 70's who speaks with a distinct Brooklyn accent. Rossi. Late 30's. African American snappy sharp attitude with a hidden desire to help people, even if it hurts them or even herself. Fern 30's a no nonsense lady with a touch of a girl that wants to have fun who fills her sales quota like a CEO of a major corporation. Alan 40's a struggling screen writer, ex-radio announcer who interjects his humor from radio and comedy club days on the phone, Pig a dirty slob & ex-sports statistical, George Late 30’s, computer supervisors, very shy, quiet & only speaks by miming and through his smarts with electronics. All these characters, along with the owner MR. MARGOLIS, early 40’s manic depressive personality, and the manager Henry late 20’s supervisor from Jamaica wears dreadlocks has a laid-back manner and a heavy Jamaican accent, deliver a show that is modern, quirky yet, unique when they reach the very customers at the other end of the line. This show provides additional unique sequences for new actors, and cameo appearance by celebrities when The Phone Room needs new telemarketers and the management or owner interviews them. Expected to be the most unique secondary sequences are when a telemarketer reaches a star at home and we play it out using the stars real name, look and even home, car or filming location or we don’t see them at all and we us Voice Over using their voice. This does not diminish the fun when our telemarketers reach non-celebrity customers, but adds fun to the occasional appearances by stars.
